The value of your college degree is not always obvious to employers, especially if the job is not written to a specific set of technical skills.  Further, if your degree is in the traditional liberal arts, finding a way to match your education and skill set to a job description can be challenging. Katharine Brooks, director of liberal arts career services at the University of Texas at Austin and author of a career guide called “You Majored in What?” has lots of great advice for liberal arts majors.
